Buying a chainsaw file and make sure you have with you whenever you intend to use your chainsaw.

Use water and detergent to clean any dirt, grease and debris from your chain saw. The cleaner of the chain, the easier it will be cons. When you clean the chain, be very careful that you do not accidentally water inside the dwelling or the engine, which ruins your chainsaw.

While cleaning the chain, make sure there are no signs of wear, such as broken teeth or twisted. If the channel is always on so it must be replaced. Discard the old string in the trash.

Place your chainsaw in a vise. This prevents you from falling when you’re sharpening the chain.

Choose a cutter (chain tooth) for refining. Use a permanent marker to mark the tooth, so you know where it began to sharpen. As the file in front of the cutter to notch a twenty-five degrees.
