Not every chainsaw is the size we see Leatherface running around with in the movies. And let’s hope that this is not the reason that you need your own chainsaw. For those of us with very different needs when it comes to owning a chainsaw, there are several different options for very different purposes. For these reasons, you may actually need several chainsaws to handle different jobs. After all, it all comes down to safety in the end and using the wrong chainsaw could be hazardous to your health.
The first thing you must consider when choosing the right chainsaw for your needs, is the engine. Do you want gas powered or electric powered? A gas powered chainsaw is going to be heavier and requires more maintenance than an electric version. In addition, you have the smell of gas and oil to deal with. However, if you are powerful enough to handle a chainsaw then chances are that you can handle this smell! An electric version is great for smaller projects. It is lighter weight, but you also have to work with the power cord trailing behind you. This is the first decision that needs to be made when choosing the right chainsaw.
Next, you need to consider which size chainsaw is going to be right for your projects. This is measured in the size of the blade. While there are very small increments in blade size, they make a large difference. Attempting to use a smaller chainsaw for a large project is going to prove difficult and can cause injury. While you may feel that your large chainsaw can handle any task, attempting to use it on those smaller jobs can cause great difficulty and injury.
The best way to figure out which chainsaw is going to be right for you and your needs is to talk to an expert. These experts can be found in outdoor power equipment specialty stores. They will have all of the information you need to make the proper decision. Do not simply rely on what you think looks the best, will make you look cool, or is the least or most expensive. When you make decisions without proper information, you run the risk of harming yourself or others and that is not worth any time or money saved.
Choosing the right chainsaw for your needs really isn’t very difficult, especially when you have the help of an expert. So, seek out a chainsaw guru and don’t watch too many horror movies!
Chainsaw blades, like any knife or axe, need regular sharpening to do their best work. Not doing so will put a greater strain on the chainsaw’s engine, and may eventually lead to a breakdown. Many casual owners of a light electric chainsaw never take the blades in for sharpening, because it can be expensive. However, sharpening a blade is actually an easy skill to master with a little practice.

Mineral spirits or de-greasing agent
Old toothbrush
electric chainsaw
Rag
Bar oil

Step

Electric Chain Saw Review
This movie works very well until it works.
I have a problem with this view, but I think it’s just for this, not the model in general.
Because of the issue, I contacted Poulan who immediately sent me a UPS label for me to return the saw for themselves, so they can repair or replace it.
In fact, I advised a friend to buy the visa.
He did and he is very happy.
Electric Chain Saw Review
I was very dubious of an electric motor … but now I am a believer. This visa has been impressive. I cut a cord of black oak .. not a team gone bad .. the chain is still alive. I do not know why but my gas chain saw sharpening hours.
side by Husquvarna said … and an electric husky goes over 200, so this is a deal … poulon but the price Amazon is like watching abouncing ball that is between 85 and 99 … I Got Mine for 85 .. . and if you ever get there again I’ll buy a backup … it’s so good.
I shot a bull 100 ‘pine and it was like butter. I shot three black oaks with a diameter of about 30 centimeters each … not a problem. I also took my little generation Honda 200Watt on the tractor and used to power the saw just to see how it goes … power was granted too little saw’m the event and about 3 / 4 ’s of capacity, but I resisted a few oaks and pines, with little problem. 3000 watt gen one would be better.
I’m really hard on my reviews and give a 5 star like me to give gold medals to the deserving people … a rare event.
noneElectric Chain Saw Review
Purchased based on the recommendation of Consumer Reports. Good chain saw is well made easy to use and powerful. Also liked how the chain rule and the ease of cleaning after use. He had been struggling with a hard-to-start gas chain saw – if you do not mind dragging cords around me to recommend an electric chainsaw for occasional use in your garden.
It is a chain saw greater use of electricity in general. I sawed off a tree on the ash firewood from 5 inches to 24 inches in diameter. E ‘was strong and cut like butter. Limited use otherwise. Seems to be the best out there for the home.
noneElectric Chain Saw Review
I have used several light duty gas chain saws for pruning and cutting down small to medium sized trees around the house. My old homelite was worn out and decided to try an electric since they seem to have grown into a usable size.
This saw has performed flawlessly for three multi hour pruning sessions on limbs up to 5 inches in diameter. I have not tried it on anything really large but it is light enough to tote up a 32 foot extension ladder and powerful enough to make quick work of the limbs I wanted to remove.
I have a couple 8 to 10 inch trees to remove yet and am sure this saw will do the job. I really like the lack of fuel mess and ease of clean up. Hopefully no painful startup after a couple years in storage. Just keep the chain sharp and go.
