Using a electric chain saw to trim branches or cut of a fallen tree is much faster than using a hand saw. Caution must be used though if you want to avoid injury.
Instructions
Things You’ll Need:
a chainsaw
a tree or some branches
Step
1
Make sure that the chain on your saw is sharp. A dull chain will not only cut poorly, but it could lead to injury if the dull chain bogs down during the cut.
Step
2
Check the fuel and chain oil. Chain oil keeps the chain moving smoothly and helps keep it from overheating. This is especially important if you are going to be doing a lot of cutting.
Step
3
Make sure the chain is not to tight or to loose. If the chain is too loose, it could come off the bar, if it is too tight, then it won’t turn freely. Either could result in injury to the saw or to the user.
